Therapy for feeling like yourself again.

For adults across Colorado when the usual ways of coping have stopped working, and there’s anxiety, trauma, recovery, depression, or burnout underneath. Neurodivergence-affirming, in Boulder, Lafayette, or online.

Start here

A place to be honest about how you’re doing.

Therapy doesn’t have to be stiff or clinical. Mine is warm and pretty direct. We start with what’s actually going on, and we go at a pace that feels okay to you.

Whether you’re anxious, worn down, going through a hard stretch, or making sense of being neurodivergent, the goal is the same: to help you feel more like yourself.

Services

What I help with.

These overlap more than they divide. Most people I work with carry a few of them at once, with trauma, grief, recovery, or a big transition running underneath. If what’s on your mind isn’t named here, reach out anyway.

Neurodivergent adults

ADHD, autism, and late-in-life discovery. Affirming support for masking, burnout, rejection sensitivity, and building a life that fits how your brain actually works. I know this one from the inside, too.

Men’s mental health

For men who look like they have it handled and are quietly running on empty. A place to set down the armor and say the things you don’t usually say out loud.

Anxiety & depression

When your mind won’t slow down, or everything feels heavy and flat. We look at what’s underneath it and work on getting some steadiness and energy back.

About

About Micha’el

I’m Micha’el. Before becoming a therapist I spent years in the arts, music, education, and community and men’s group work, and I’ve lived and worked across very different worlds. My clinical training grew out of community mental health, addiction recovery, integrated care, and outpatient therapy here in Colorado.

That mix shapes how I work. I’m at home with people trying to get back to themselves after burnout, a hard transition, recovery, grief, or a life that no longer fits. The work is direct, relational, and grounded: we slow things down, get honest about what isn’t working, and make room for what you actually want your life to be.

Approach

What working together is like.

Good therapy should feel steady and actually useful. My job is to make it safe to say the hard stuff, and to help you turn what we figure out into real change. I lean on approaches like ACT, plain conversation, and a bit of story or metaphor when it helps.

More on how I work

Relational

The relationship matters. The work happens through trust and honesty, and by paying attention to what comes up between us.

Trauma-informed

We go at a pace that respects your nervous system and the ways you learned to cope.

Grounded

We keep it tied to your real life: your relationships, your responsibilities, and the choices actually in front of you.

If any of this sounds like you, I’d be glad to hear from you.

Questions

New to therapy? Start here.

A few things people often want to know before reaching out.

Who do you work with?

Adults across Colorado, one-on-one. I often work with people navigating neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, recovery, and big life changes.

Do you offer telehealth and in-person therapy?

Both. We can meet online anywhere in Colorado, in person at my Boulder office, or outdoors on a walk around Lafayette, on weekdays or evenings. We’ll find what actually works for your life.

What are your fees?

Sessions are $150 for 50 minutes, private pay. I keep a few sliding-scale spots open for people who need them, so it’s worth asking, and I can provide superbills if you’d like to seek out-of-network reimbursement. The first consultation is free.

Do you take insurance?

I don’t bill insurance directly; I’m private pay. If you have out-of-network benefits, I can give you a superbill to submit for possible reimbursement, and I’m glad to walk you through how that works.

What happens after I submit the contact form?

I read every note myself and follow up personally to set up a free 15-minute consultation. Reaching out doesn’t commit you to anything, and it isn’t the start of therapy yet; that begins only once we’ve talked, done intake, and you’ve decided you want to.

Is the contact form secure?

It’s a good place to say hello and start a conversation. The form uses HTTPS, but it isn’t a confidential clinical communication channel, so please keep this first message general and leave out anything clinical or sensitive. Once we’re connected, we’ll move to a more private, secure way to talk.

Do you work with couples?

No, my work is one-on-one, so I don’t offer couples or family therapy. If that’s what you’re looking for, reach out anyway and I’ll try to point you toward someone who’s a good fit.

Share your name, email, and a little about what’s bringing you in. I read every message myself and usually reply within one to two business days.

Please keep this first message general. This HTTPS form and ordinary email are not confidential clinical channels, so leave out detailed clinical or sensitive information. Once we connect, we can move to a secure channel.

This only helps me understand which outreach is useful.
