About Micha’el
Therapy with me is warm, direct, and grounded. I work with adults navigating ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, recovery, burnout, and major life transitions, especially people who have spent a long time adapting, performing, or trying to hold everything together.
My background is varied, but the purpose is simple: to understand the life you are living and help you build one that fits more honestly.
If you are deciding whether I might be the right therapist for you, a free 15-minute call is a low-pressure place to start.
I didn’t come to therapy by way of a straight line
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years in the arts, music, stage and film, teaching, and experiential outdoor education. I lived and worked overseas and moved between very different cultures and communities. For more than a decade, I have also been part of men’s council work, where I have seen what can change when men have room for honesty, grief, accountability, humor, and real friendship.
That path taught me something about identity, craft, reinvention, and the disorientation of realizing that a life that once made sense no longer does.
My clinical training grew out of community mental health and integrated care, including outpatient therapy, addiction and recovery work, and case management. I have worked with neurodivergent adults, adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, people in recovery, and service members and veterans finding their footing in civilian life.
I have also completed formal suicide-intervention training and training in evidence-based approaches including ACT, motivational interviewing, CBT, DBT, and solution-focused therapy.
For people between chapters, or between worlds
I feel at home with artists, performers, musicians, writers, students, professionals, and people who appear capable on the outside while struggling privately. Sometimes the work is about recovering from burnout, rejection, a difficult job, a creative block, or a long season of surviving. Sometimes it is about building a more sustainable relationship with your work, ambition, talent, and the part of you that still wants to make something meaningful.
I also work well with people who have lived between cultures, communities, countries, religious worlds, or versions of themselves. Moving between languages and expectations, or returning home changed, can leave difficult questions about identity and belonging. You do not have to flatten those experiences to make them understandable here.
How I work
My style is relational, direct, and grounded. I listen for story, metaphor, contradiction, humor, longing, and the places where your life may have become too small for who you are.
We can make room for reflection while also building practical skills and making concrete changes. You can read more about my approach to therapy and what working together is like.
What I hope therapy gives you
I hope therapy becomes a place where you can hear yourself more clearly. A place to speak without having to turn your experience into a polished story.
We can make room for what has happened, name what still matters, and begin making choices that fit the life you actually want. You do not need to have everything figured out before you reach out. You only need enough willingness to begin.
